We are often told, “No Pain, No Gain.”
However, in regards to Physical Therapy, Excel In Health does not hold this to be true, and the techniques used at Excel In Health are generally not offered by most Physical Therapists.
To provide Physical Therapy treatments that include a combination of motor learning, muscle memory, movement-specific joint mobilization, and body mechanics in order to achieve the highest outcome for clients. We also create instructional books and videos for pediatric therapists and parents.
Our goal is to make you feel better, and move better as quickly as possible.
With more than 30 years of experience, and applying a unique approach to achieve fast results, Dr. Bartsch has been recognized as a leader in Physical Therapy.
Excel In Health, located in Chandler, AZ, provides home-based Physical Therapy services for adults and children. All evaluations and treatments are provided by Dr. Bartsch, a licensed Physical Therapist.
The Mobility and Skills Training is a series of PowerPoint style presentations designed to teach motor skills to children with gross motor and developmental delays. It is developed for families and therapists.
Movement patterns, reflexes and developmental milestones have been well defined for pediatrics, and it is important that these milestones be achieved in a sequential manner. Children with developmental delays frequently use adapted or ineffective movement patterns in order to accomplish gross motor tasks. The focus of the Mobility and Skills Training Series is to describe in detail the movement patterns in a way that can be taught to children with developmental delays.
This handbook is a result of my quest to discover an approach that would break through developmental barriers and generate exciting progress for any child with developmental delays. These theories consistently provide a treatment framework for any therapist. It was written for one very specific reason; outcomes no longer need to be illusive!
The focus of the Mobility and Skills Training Seminars is on the use of motor learning when instructing children how to develop new motor skills. Understanding and using motor learning is a valuable tool for Therapists who provide services to special needs children. While not all children are candidates for this technique, it does generate positive outcomes for most children.
The presenter is Darwyn Bartsch, PT, DPT, BS, BA. The focus of the Continuing Education courses are based on the product the Mobility and Skills Training Series, which are PowerPoint-style presentations designed to teach motor skills to children with gross motor and developmental delays. The CE presentations are designed for Physical and Occupational Therapists.
